Every organisation in the business industry sets long-term goals and short-term objectives that form the core of its existence. To accomplish these targets, strategies, often a blend of new and time-tested ones, are planned and implemented. These strategies are continually monitored, their progress reported, their results evaluated and a feedback mechanism is put in place to fine-tune, correct or enhance strategy implementation. These, in short, are the basic elements of control in management that our students will be introduced to in our distance MBA in Finance.
In this module, besides familiarising yourself with theoretical frameworks pertaining to your subject of study, you will learn to use, create and implement different designs of control system tools critical to gather data and evaluate performance in the organisational structure of a firm. Students will be inculcated with important communicative and managerial skills to ensure every level of the control system, from setting objectives to quality control of services provided to consumers, adheres to the best practices. You will gain in-depth comprehension of key aspects of control systems important to gauge a firm’s performance, like the responsibility structures that are put in place to assess cost data, accounting, sales and revenue generation, cost control and investment.
Control systems in management are discussed in the fourth semester of our distance MBA in Finance Program, and primarily talk about overseeing the performance of managers and employees and issues thereof. We train students to develop critical communication skills required to not only motivate employees with incentives and professional support but also coherently address conflicts.
Expertise in the subject of control systems will provide students with a multi-disciplinary approach towards performance evaluation that includes a thorough understanding of organisational behaviour, communication management, logistics, finance and accounting.
Our institute provides students with an experienced faculty and top resources to guide them through their educational journey.
